Real and lasting Victories

I had to take a break from designing freebies to do some LO’s, although I’m 90% done with the Breast cancer mini, and I also figured out how to make the hatpin shinier by playing around with inner bevel settings, so I need to make a pack of hatpins to make up for the ugly one in the Bluegrass mini.  Look for those over the next couple of days.  Anyway, the quote on this is: “Real and lasting victories are those of peace and not of war.”- Ralph Waldo Emerson This picture is my MIL, Joyce, who is kind of a hippie, which sounds derogatory.  Let’s just say she is more in favor of peace than of war, particularly when her son is involved in fighting it.   The frame and mat are stock PSP X2, and the scroll frame on the wall is from Tina Williams’ Sweet Innocence. Everything else is from Idgie’s Heartsongs Heart of a Woman kit, which is SO beautiful!   The font is Santos Dumont.

  1. Love this layout! Even picked in at SAS for their gallery praise thread. I think that most mother’s are in favor of peace, especially when they have boys in the midst of it all. Have a great weekend.

  2. What a cute layout. I love the boots and the way you did the picture of your “hippe” mother-in-law. 🙂

  3. wow-you did a great job on this layout. It really looks three dimensional and I love the composition.
