Hey, The First LO with my stuff!

Check out Flora’s LO using the Girl in the Moon sampler:

Isn’t it gorgeous? And by the way, that’s Flora! Hubba hubba, huh? Click on the link to go to her DST gallery and leave her some luv and see her full credits. But hey, Traci, do you recognize her titling? So you know what this means, Flora is the first contestant in my Grand Opening contest, and so she now has a ONE HUNDRED percent chance of winning the product of her choice on Dec first. Of course, right now I only have one product.. but I’m working on that! Promise. Anyway, if you want to get in on the fun, just send me a link of your LO using any of my products before Dec 1. That’s all! Sweet, eh?

In case you missed it, I made a big announcement yesterday that I am now selling my stuff at Art and Scrap!!! And yes, I am excited, proud, nervous, happy, everything. Come on over to the store, the other designers there are amazing, and I am over the MOON thrilled (get it, Moon) that they chose me. And I would like to invite everybody to share in my happiness and so I am offering FORTY BIG PERCENT off my kit! Just enter the coupon code BoyervilleScrapsThanksYou at checkout. To tell you the truth, and why would I lie, I’m not sure if this code will only work for the full page kit or not, because this is the first time I’ve ever used Zen Cart. So you may get lucky and get 40% off your whole purchase if you pick some other stuff (and if you go there you probably will, let me warn you).

Who Needs a Costume
I already shared this pic with you, and now here’s a LO with it. I used Karla’s Digi Kaleidosocpe Heritage Harvest kit, her retro Halloween Charms, and her Denim and Diamonds kit, and the alpha is by from Heather’s It’s a Pink Thang kit.

Okay, hands up, who has a teenager. I just now got done arguing with my son about whether or not he has the right to skip his Economics class every time he doesn’t feel like going. His point is that it’s a remedial class, they do stupid stuff like crosswords in there, and he’s a AP student and has other things that would be a better use for his time. This is all true. It’s also true that the guidance counselor made him take it because he IS such a good student, and they are trying to stack the class with good students for some reason this year. But my point is that I don’t care if they all just stand in there and do the Monster Mash all day long (I hate that song, by the way), it’s a class on his schedule, so he has to go. Plus, there will be long, long hours in his life, many of them, where he is doing something stupid and purposeless when there are other very important things he needs to do. That’s a part of life. We don’t have to LIKE it, but it happens. Anyway, I’m tired, worn out, and finally I was just like, whatever. You are going to do whatever you want no matter what I say, I’m just trying to be a parent. So now he feels bad and he’s like, “I’ll show you the work we do, it’s stupid!” and “I’m going to get credit for it, don’t worry” and I just was like, blah blah blah, I’m not listening. Sorry if that makes me a bad person, but… he’s like a grown up now, all I can do is give guidance. I can’t tell him what to do anymore, honestly. I can only suggest.

Ugh, that really took the wind out of my sails. It wasn’t a fight at all, but I’ve been tired all day and that just kinda finished me. I’m off to do some collab kit stuff, and possibly to work on a couple of more LO’s

OH BEFORE I GO!!! By the time you read this, it will probably be after Midnight EST on Sunday (well, Monday morning??) so get your fanny over to JFTSOI and grab up the amazing round 4 freebies! Oh, I cannot wait to see what the contestants have come up with for the final round! GO, what are you waiting for?

EDIT-Here’s a LO I did with Fayth’s kit from the contest.  My hubby loves this kit, which makes sense because she kind of made it for her hubby.  Vince especially liked the quote, and the LO made him all warm and fuzzy and he was talking about what a lucky guy he was all night.

I know all about the arguing with teenagers. I have a 15 year old that I can’t tell ANYTHING anymore … He’s just THERE. Except mine’s a lump on a log, not an honor student LOL!

  4. Congrats! The layouts are lovely! Can’t wait to see what else you come up with!

  6. Hey Andrea. My sling is a happy sling. It’s a ring sling. I think I got it from http://www.happyslings.com – I got it when Katiana was a baby. It’s held up well. LOL I love it. I don’t know about the Maya wrap, but the ring sling – the key is to make sure you have sling fabric straight (not bunched) and spread out over your shoulder. If it’s all bunched up and sitting on top of your shoulder, it will kill your upper back. (It drives me crazy when I see celebs and their ring slings in pictures, and they are wearing them wrong. LOL) It doesn’t hurt so much when they are on wrong and they are itty bitty, but when they get to be Alyce’s size, it has to be on right or you’ll kill your back.

    Try http://www.wearyourbaby.com

they usually have instructions on how to wear all slings – some of them have videos.

  7. Thanks for stopping by my blog. My daughter was the same way! She really didn’t sleep through the night until between 2 and 3!

  8. Congrats on the new store! Thanks for sharing your wonderful layouts!

  9. Howdee! Congrats! No teenagers yet – just a 4.5-going-on-20 yr old…. LOL [hugs]
